Bible study & character resources

Our favorite Bible studies

We rotate through these over and over. When you have several, it takes time to get through all of them. By the time you’re finished, there’s more to learn from revisiting them!

Not Consumed

Kim Sorgius of Not Consumed authors what are, hands down, our favorite bible studies for kids!  I’ll share more resources with you further down, including my favorite studies for moms; but, Not Consumed gets top billing from me!

Finding Godly Contentment

We currently use the junior versions, and I’m looking forward to continuing with the advanced version as they develop!

Bible Lego Challenges

Proverbial Homemaker has a lot of great resources, but I consider the lego challenges to be my favorite!

Kids learn the Proverbs while playing with bricks! Includes challenges, copywork, discussion questions and notebooking pages.
Kids learn the Matthew while playing with bricks! Includes 70+ pages of challenges, copywork, and notebooking pages.
Teach your kids about God and His Word while studying 20+ key characters in the Bible!
What can be more fun than legos with your bible!?  If you’ve got a hands-on learner, this is a great choice.

My favorite resources for mom

Here are some bible studies, books, and even a favorite worship album of mine.  Beth Moore’s studies are incredible, but don’t let the size scare you.  Rather than forcing myself to do an entire day each day, without missing…  I spend 20-30 minutes each morning doing what I can and pick up where I left off the next day.

Uninvited is something I think many of us special needs mamas could use, same for no more angry mom.  Life gets hard and can be so unkind.  Wild at Heart is a must read for mothers of boys.  I read it when my oldest was still in his crib, yet it comes to mind often and shapes the way I parent and treat my young men.
