Christmas bible verse game your kids will love

Limited time Christmas Bible game Freebie

In keeping with my unofficial theme this month, keeping Christ at the center of Christmas, I’m sharing something to help you do just that! I’ve made a Christmas Bible Game and I’m offering it as a limited time subscriber freebie this week.  It’s a verse memorization game using verses from the nativity story.  There are also coloring pages, pictures, and verse cards.

Previously, in Applied Behavioral Analysis, my son needed to memorize some characters in a story.  Each character’s name and characteristics were meant to help he and I identify what was going on with him in the moment, in a way we both understood.  He and his ABA provider memorized all these things through scavenger hunts.  For each character, he found he had to name them.  Then, in subsequent rounds, he would have to name what their struggle was, and finally, they got down to recalling coping strategies.   It was brilliant!  He learned so much, so fast!  I thought this was a perfect method to apply to scripture memorization.

Making Bible Study a part of your homeschool?

Are you making the same mistakes I made including bible study in our homeschool? Come see what I learned and help your children to enjoy bible study so much more.

Where does a child learn what is in God’s Word?

We are the biggest influence in our children’s lives.   There is no getting around that.  One of my old churches put together a visual example of how many hours a typical parent spends with their children versus how many hours the church spends with their children.  It was eye-opening and it’s so true.  Their teeny tiny jar cowered in the shadow of the enormous parent jar. Realize how quickly these hours pour out!  We really have a fleeting amount of time to impress Christian values on our sweet ones before they are off on their own.
