Adding Pedicures to Your Self-Care List

Hey Special Needs Mamas! Have no cash for professional pedicures? Don't let that be what stops you! A few supplies and 30 minutes is all you need for this easy self-care!

Make manicures or pedicures part of your self-care routine!

Getting out for professional Manicures or Pedicures is ahhhhmazing, but time and money…  I know that’s not always an option; it’s certainly not for me!

Consider stocking up on Epsom salts, essential oils, and anything else you may need to give yourself a manicure or pedicure at home.  Taking time to take care of yourself is important.  This is another part of the physical aspect of self-care.

It may seem little, but when you catch a glance of nicely cared for toes as opposed to the toes you’re afraid to take out in public – it helps guard against some of the bitterness that can well up. You know, the comparisons about how others look, how you don’t, and how you don’t have the time or money to do it.  How unfair it all is…  living in a victim mentality doesn’t help you.  It means you’ve given up control and are resigned to these feelings.

I’ve been there as a young mom and talked to many others who never take time for their own care, and they end up battling resentment or bitterness.  Something little spirals into something huge.  Take 30 minutes, and a favorite T.V. show to polish them piggies!  I promise you can make time and spend very little on it.  If a polish isn’t your thing, nice soak and scrub style pedicures are still great for you and so soothing!
