Yoga is great for self-care
If you’re not sure about what you could add to a simple self-care routine, yoga is a great choice. It’s even something your kids can do with you! It’s actually not that hard to get yourself into either. Even while being easy on the body, it has benefits both physically and mentally.
If heavy exercise isn’t your thing…
Or you just can’t do many exercises because of some injuries, you may want to consider trying it. Even if you can do other exercises, yoga has self-care benefits for all, including pain relief and memory enhancement! Check out this infographic and post from Dr. Axe on the brain benefits of yoga.

Think it’s not a “real” workout?
I’ve been there. Quickly, very quickly, I learned otherwise! I had my mom try some yoga with me on her last visit and she was stunned by how difficult it was. Her exact words, “I thought this was just a bunch of stretching!” Don’t get me wrong, you can find nice, soothing, easy routines, but if you’re avoiding it because you think it’s a waste of time and effort- it’s not!
I love Yoga with Adrienne, but if you’re looking for Christian programs specifically, you can find that too! Give Google and YouTube a search!
